Introduction of the Visit

(Ko1)

UK Universities compared to Japanese Universities

(Ko1)

What would it be like to study there?

I think it would be hard studying in King’s College London. I have 3 reasons. The first reason is that English is a little hard for me. I can speak English and write a little bit, but during the campus tour, it was hard to understand most of what they were saying. I guess I’d get used to it, but it would be hard at first.

The academic level of KCL is pretty high and it sounded hard to study at this university. I think I’d have to make sure I have strong academic knowledge and academic English skills to attend classes and take part in seminars. I’d need to prepare a lot, maybe more than other students.

Finally, as long as my language skills were good and I was proactive, I think KCL would offer the chance to meet people from around the world and hear different perspectives or ideas. London is an exciting multi cultural city so there would be a lot to do when I wasn’t studying. I think it would be hard, but it would definitely be a very different experience to studying at university in Japan. (Ko1)
